Candle Jars | Crafty Friday

Hello everyone!
Today’s tutorial is a good one!! It’s very adaptable and can be made as easy or difficult as you would like. It is also a craft that can be made very quickly; I made mine in less than half an hour!

First you need to gather all the components you will need.

  •  A selection of jars large enough to hold candles or tea lights
  • A selection of ribbons and lace
  • Embellishments, this is very open to interpretation, whatever you have on hand can easily work
  • Double sided tape or glue, I used tape to make it quicker!
  • Scissors

I chose these three jars which will all hold tea lights, the larger jar will also hold a slightly larger candle.

Next choose the ribbon or lace that you want to use on the jars. I decided to make the two smaller jars the same. I cut a wide piece of ribbon for each jar to go around the outside and lace to go around the top and make bows.

For the larger jar I used a thin strip of double sided tape along the ribbon to attach a lace edge to it. I attached this around the jar with tape and then put matching lace around the top of the jar.

I was really pleased with how they turned out. I hadn’t planned on making Christmassy jars but I found the metal snowflakes and they were so pretty I just had to use them!!

These jars will be featured in a blog post next week (complete with candles) so come back and see!!!

See you soon!
